WAZER has created and brought the world’s first desktop waterjet to market - democratizing manufacturing and bringing professional-grade fabrication to every workshop. Working at an early stage startup, you will have the opportunity to manage a key sale sample production program and operate state of the art technology in a dynamic start up environment. You will manage your own shop of waterjet machines, while completing custom and stock sample cutting for customer. You will have full ownership to make sure sample cutting for our customers. You will have full ownership to make sure samples are produced on time and schedule, and that the machines are maintained and running.
YOUR DAILY ROLE:
You will work with both the Inside Sales and the Product Development team to set up, operate, and maintain a series of WAZER waterjets.
You will independently manage a queue of incoming orders and create a system to work through them in the most efficient way possible.
you will proactively order supplies and materials to ensure we limit machine downtime.
you will service and repair the machines as needed to minimize downtime.
You will prepare and run demonstrations for key potential customers.
At times you may contribute to other sales or product development projects including testing, tradeshows, and special projects.
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience using industrial or prototyping equipment such as 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, or other shop tools.
Experience using Google Docs, Excel, and other standard office software.
Ability to work in a hands on, messy, wet, manufacturing environment, spending significant parts of the day on your feet.
Ability to lift 55lbs.
Ability to work independently, managing your time and schedule while meeting production goals.
Ability to work in a professional office environment, maintain a clean work environment, and are comfortable working in close proximity to our executive team.
NICE TO HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience using CAD and #D modeling software such as Solidworks, Adobe Illustrator, Sketch Up, etc.
Have worked at a startup before
You like to build or make thing in your free time.

LOCATION & ENVIRONMENT:
We are located in the Brooklyn Navy Yard in NYC, where you’ll be working in an environment that is simultaneously our office, ideation studio, research lab, workshop, and final product assembly center, all under one roof. This allows us to collaborate and learn each other’s area of expertise, providing better solutions to our customers.
Our facility becomes a playground in the off hours. You are encouraged to design, make, and work on whatever personal projects you may have at the time. You will electric vehicles, race car parts, plants, and art pieces around the office. Who knows what inspiration we use for the next problem we need to solve at WAZER!
